Christmas 08

I'm sorry but the pictures are out of order..oops Toni. The formatting on this isn't what it should be. Anyhow, The Gabehart tradition is that Jaydn gets a pair of PJ's from mom and dad on Christmas Eve and then we go to look at lights. Luckily Jaydn's reaction was much better this year, she didn't ask for something different!!! Our tree was so 'stuffed' that Santa had to find other places to put Jaydn's gift. When she visited Santa at the mall he requested sugar cookies and carrots for reindeer. She only wanted to leave 4 carrots for the reindeer and 2 cookies for Santa....I think he stole some more from the platter. Mommy is reliving her youth through Jaydn with the new doll house that Santa brought. Jaydn has had a lot of fun with it so far and I can only imagine the fun that the two of us are going to have. Merry Christmas everyone!

Hunting

Robby and his buddies, in their crazy and addicted state, decided to get up early and go duck hunting. Thankfully they had a great day and all got their limit. Never mind the fact that after retrieving the ducks, Robby's waders were so frozen that he had to stand up...they wouldn't bend. Good job boys!!!

Bored on a cold day!

Our lovely high for the today was 12 but with the windchill factor, it's a warm -5! So with nothing better to do...the family stayed in and stayed warm. While mom was busy making cookies, everyone else was loungin'! Even Billy was trying to stay warm in his bed. Jaydn was so excited that mommy made special cookies just for her. Now if only I could get some help frosting them.

This was Jaydn's first fish and a trout fish to boot. They stock a pond on post with them and I think she caught the only one in there! It was a nice fish.

Call me self centered, but I LOVE this picture of myself. This was on Jaydn's first field trip which was to a pumpkin patch.

Blast from the past

I looked on Robby's camera one day and noticed he had this old picture on it. Best we can figure, it is from before he left for Iraq so Jaydn was probably 2. Amazing how quickly they change. I miss those big ol' cheeks.

Duck Hunting

Robby has an addiction, a duck hunting addiction. And unfortunately for mom, Jaydn has become obsessed as well. She gets so excited when he comes home. If you will notice her attire as well, she is quiet the fashion icon...snow pants and flip flops. She's prepared for any kind of weather.

More x-mas party

Jeremy, Jaydn and Alexa! Alexa is Jaydn's partner in crime!

Her ginerbread house! Mommy actually got to help her decorate.

Mommy and Jaydn decorating. Oh, you can even see the smiley face I made. Jaydn decided she didn't like it and decorated it more...I thought it was cute.

Jaydn's X-mas party

Jaydn and her friends singing at their x-mas party. It was very cute but Jaydn didn't enjoy being crowded and pushed to the back. She finally got "mad" and pushed her way back to the front. I hope she is like her mommy and stands up for herself.

bowling

Jaydn was invited to Carter's b-day party at the bowling alley. Mommy accidentally dropped the camera after this shot and broke it...OOPS!

Robby's Christmas Party

So Jaydn has seen Santa like 3 times before this time so she was pretty comfortable around him. Robby and I were helping the other children visit with Santa as Jaydn sat beside the couch he sat on and colored. She never made an attempt to sit on his lap until she noticed that the other children were receiving gifts. After about 20 minutes she made her move and plopped down on his lap. I think he had a clue who he was(Cpt. Haas) but who knows. It was funny!

Robby and SANTA(aka Cpt. Haas)!
I can only imagine what he told Santa he wanted for x-mas

Shooting in IDAHO

With Robby being in the ARMY and getting ready for his second deployment, life has been a little sped up. Things that we may have waited to do with Jaydn, we are doing now. Robby has dreamed about the day that he would give Jaydn her first gun and when he found this pink one, it was a done deal. We took it to Idaho with us and were lucky enough to have Papa share in the excitement! Jaydn had a blast and hopefully she will remember it for a long time....I sure know her daddy will.

Jaydn took this picture of Papa!
Mommy and Jaydn shot better than daddy!

Those smiles say a thousand words!

The Gabeharts

This is the most recent picture of the three of us. We flew back to Idaho for Thanksgiving and this was taken at the U of I. We love being home and back to what we are use to. We had a great time and can't wait to go back in the summer.
