Jaydn got to enjoy a very special treat this weekend. Her best friend(from Kansas :)), Sienna, came down with her mom on Friday night and stayed with us until Saturday evening. Jaydn and Sienna hadn't seen each other in a while so it was nice for them to get together and play. When they got to our house Jaydn went flying out the door and ran to give Sienna a hug, it was so cute. They had a grea time playing together. When Sienna and Shannon had to leave, both Sienna and Jaydn were crying. I'm so thankful that they still live close enough that we can go visit from time to time.
Saturday was Apple Days. It's a big festival thing that Fort Riley does every year. They have a petting zoo, bouncy's, food, music, and of course Apple Pie. I got up early that morning and took the girls to Apple Days. Sienna won this sign that says "Support Our Troops". So as we are walking across the field, Jaydn is holding it up yelling, "Bring our daddies home safe". It was sad and cute all at the same time!
Jaydn was so excited to see the ducklings. When she saw there was a petting zoo, she immediately asked if there were duckings. So we found them in this cage adn i wanted to get a picture of her with them. She didn't want to get close because she was afraid that they would peck her. She is about as fond of birds as her mommy is.
jaydn and sienna petting a calf. I told jaydn that it was a baby cow and her reply, "you mean calf mom"..of course jaydn. they also got to feed a baby goat it's bottle but jaydn insisted on sitting on my lap so i couldn't get a picture of her.
jaydn riding Goldie. She loves horses and had a blast. Goldie is 19 years old..amazing.
Jaydn and sienna. it never fails that at least one of them is making a funny face. we enjoyed our visit with shannon and sienna and are looking forward to going to their house in october!
